Key Art Awards Reactions

posted May 17, 2008 6:45 PM

On Friday, The Hollywood Reporter released the nominees for their 37th annual Movie Marketing Key Art Awards.

As is the case with any list of award nominees, I have a couple complaints...

I definitely would like to have seen two of my favorite trailers of 2007, Once and The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, grab some recognition in the Best Drama Trailers category. Instead, two nods were given to No Country For Old (one would have been justified, two is unnecessary) and another to Black Snake Moan.

Judge for yourself:

I also think that No Country was unfairly snubbed in the Best Drama Print category. Instead a nomination was given to the Sandra Bullock dud Premonition.

The winners will be announced June 13 during an awards ceremony hosted by Jeff Garlin at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Century City.

I don't recall the trailer, but Premonition was one of the dullest things I sat through in the last year....
