Screamfest was formed in August 2001 by film producers Rachel Belofsky and Ross Martin in order to give filmmakers and writers in the horror/sci-fi genres a venue to have their work showcased to people in the industry. We are very proud that the majority of the films showcased now have distribution.

Start Screaming at Screamfest

From big Hollywood screams coming from the much-anticipated 30 Days of Night (October 16th, with cast and crew in attendance) to independent minded scares the likes of Tooth and Nail (a cannibal apocalypse movie) being screened the very same day, SCREAMFEST HAS SOMETHING FOR EVERY HORROR FAN.

The festival even showcases shorts and student horror films (catch those on Saturday October 13th). Whereas most film festivals bask in artistic as well as genre-based open-mindedness and international group hugs. Hand it to Screamfest for knowing what it likes, and liking it bloody.
