Lighting up the Dark

Trips and falls do not make a fun visit to the theater
The carpeting in movie theater aisles is something many audience members may never give a thought to. After all, most of the time spent in a theater is done sans light.
Tempo Industries has sought to change that. With the issue of safety at the forefront, and a mission to
prevent trips and falls in the aisles of movie theaters, Tempo has produced multi-tonal lighting meant to create vibrant, well-lit carpeting that keeps audiences protected from unnecessary accidents during impromptu trips to the foyer during a screening.
With what the company calls Biinary technology, Tempo produces lighting installed at floor level and 12'' above carpeting edges to provide dual-color illumination, bringing carpets to life with bright contrast. And, because the lights are strong enough to illuminate the carpet from such a short distance, Tempo promises that distracting brightness from the sides isn't an issue, and demonstrates this in the display booth at ShowEast.
Though the carpet technology is the centerpiece for Tempo's display, they also offer overhead lighting with hundreds of color options and display varieties meant for outer domes or arcade-style lobbies.
Already embraced by major franchises like Cinemark and Regal Cinemas, Tempo representative Terrance Walsh says that the companies are providing positive feedback, and significant improvements in customer safety. Tempo’s logo query is: What color is safety?
