Following a spirited introduction by Geneva Convention Committee President Paul Rogers, NATO President John Fithian spoke to a packed ballroom during a luncheon on Wednesday.
Fithian touched on several topics including the enforcement of MPAA ratings, the possibility of releasing bigger films in April and the overall state of the exhibition industry. He even joked with the audience when discussing his recent back-and-forth with Jeffrey Katzenberg about the transition to digital movie screens.
Fithian closed with an anecdote Will Smith had shared with him about an encounter the actor had with Nelson Mandela which reinforced the power of movies.
