Opening this weekend, Paramount's Iron Man kicks off the summer movie season and Yahoo! Movies has an exclusive clip from the film featuring Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow and commentary from director Jon Favreau. The Iron Man promotional blitz is out in full force right now with endorsements, TV spots, talk show appearances and trailers happening all over the place. The film should expect a very healthy opening but it will face tough competition the following week when Speed Racer opens and continues to push along Summer '08. Iron Man's strength in the weeks after opening will determine whether or not Downey Jr. will suit up for a sequel.
