Nicolas Cage will star in a remake of the 1992 film Bad Lieutenant for director Werner Herzog according to Variety. The original film, which was directed by Abel Ferrara, starred Harvey Keitel and received an NC-17 rating. Production on the remake is set to begin later this summer. Cage will next be seen on screen this summer in Bangkok Dangerous which opens August 22nd.
