'Gears of War' Adaptation Moves Forward

The adaptation of the popular video game Gears of War is now moving forward. New Line has set up Len Wiseman (Live Free or Die Hard) to direct the film, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Chris Morgan, the writer behind Universal's Wanted as well as The Fast and the Furious 4, has been tapped to write the screenplay. Gears quickly became one of the most popular video games on the Xbox platform by selling over 3 million units worldwide in its first ten weeks.
