Hurt, Heard To Venture Down 'River'

William Hurt and Amanda Heard have signed on to star in The River Why, alongside Zach Gilford (NBC's Friday Night Lights), according to The Hollywood Reporter. The film is an adaptation of the 1983 Sierra Club novel by David James Duncan and it's being directed by Matt Leutwyler (2007's Unearthed). Hurt will next appear in The Countess for director Julie Delpy and Heard stars alongside Seth Rogen and James Franco in this summer's Pineapple Express.
