After working together on one half of Grindhouse in Planet Terror, real-life couple Robert Rodriguez and Rose McGowan will take on a film adaptation of the comicbook Red Sonja, according to USA Today. The material was filmed before in the form of a poorly received 1985 Brigitte Nielsen version. The duo of Rodriguez/McGowan had previously been circling around a remake of Barbarella. Rodriguez is currently shooting a family film titled Shorts, with James Spader and Jon Cryer.
