Phillip Noyce (Catch a Fire, The Quiet American) is in talks to direct Tom Cruise in Edwin A. Salt, according to Variety. Salt, which comes from a script by Kurt Wimmer (Equilibrium, Ultraviolet), centers around a CIA agent accused of being a Russian spy. Cruise will appear this August in Tropic Thunder and this coming February his World War II drama, Valkyrie, will finally hit theatres after a couple of release date changes.
