Grint Set To Star In Teen Drama

Rupert Grint, who is best known as Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter series, has signed on to star in a teen drama titled Cherrybomb, according to Variety. The film, which will be set in Belfast, focuses on the consequences that arise when two friends compete for a beautiful, manipulative girl. Glen Leyburn and Lisa Barros D’Sa are co-directing from a screenplay by Daragh Carville. Outside of the Potter universe, Grint also appeared in 2006's Driving Lessons with Laura Linney and Julie Walters. The latest installment of the Potter saga, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, is due in theatres on November 21st.
