Garcia Finds Backing For 'Mother'

Rodrigo Garcia (Nine Lives) has obtained the support of Alfonso Cuaron, Guillermo del Toro and Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu for his next movie, Mother and Child. According to The Hollywood Reporter, del Toro, Cuaron and Inarritu will serve as producers on the project which is being housed at cha cha cha, an internationally-funded extension of Focus Features that was formed by the trio. Mother is budgeted at $4.5 million and it is set to begin production in late December or January.
