Universal is now looking for a writer to put together a third installment in the Nutty Professor franchise that Eddie Murphy began in 1996 with a remake of the Jerry Lewis classic.
As of now, Murphy has not committed to the project. The actor last appeared in Meet Dave this summer, which grossed only $11.8 million domestically.
