Michael Cera may very well be headed to Gilligan's Island. A film adaptation of the popular television show is now in the works, according to the show's creator Sherwood Schwartz and his son, Lloyd. The father-son duo also are reportedly looking at Beyoncé Knowles for the role of Ginger.

Cera found success as a leading man earlier this year in Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist. Meanwhile, Knowles recently appeared opposite Adrien Brody and Jeffrey Wright in Cadillac Records.

Cera's latest project, Paper Heart, will premiere at Sundance.
