In an intriguing bit of news, author Bret Easton Ellis (American Psycho, The Informers) has revealed that Benicio Del Toro may play him in an adaptation of Lunar Park, the author's strange, semi-autobiographical novel.

Del Toro was also recently cast in The Three Stooges opposite Sean Penn and Jim Carrey, and he'll also be starring alongside Daniel Day Lewis and Gael GarcĂa Bernal in Martin Scorsese's Silence. This year the Oscar-winning actor can be seen in Universal's The Wolf Man and his voice will be featured in Spike Jonze's adaptation of Where the Wild Things Are.
The biggest box office hit that Del Toro has been involved with is still Traffic, which is the film that he won an Academy Award for. The ensemble drama grossed $124 million in 2000 ($165.3 million when adjusted for inflation).
