Colin Farrell and Keira Knightley have reportedly signed on to join the cast of William Monahan’s London Boulevard, an adaptation of the Ken Bruen crime novel.
The film, Monahan’s directorial debut, follows a criminal’s relationship with a young actress. The Oscar-winning scribe recently penned Ridley Scott’s Body of Lies, a domestic flop that grossed just $39.4 million last October. He also wrote the script for the Martin Campbell thriller Edge of Darkness, which is set for a January 29, 2010 release.
Farrell and Knightley are similarly looking to rebound from box office futility last fall. Farrell last appeared in Pride and Glory, which raked in $15.7 million in the U.S., while Knightley’s The Duchess managed a mere $13.8 million domestic haul.
