For his latest film, Ricky Gervais (Ghost Town) has assembled a very impressive ensemble. The Invention of Lying, which hits theaters on September 25, stars Gervais, Jennifer Garner, Jonah Hill, Jason Bateman, Louis C.K., Rob Lowe, Christopher Guest, Jeffrey Tambor and Tina Fey. The film focuses on a world in which nobody can tell a lie.
Gervais recently had a small supporting role in Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian, which has grossed $163 million domestically since opening in May. Before that, Gervais appeared opposite Greg Kinnear and Tea Leoni in Ghost Town, which won postive reviews but grossed only $13.4 million domestically.
