Relativity Media is in the market for a director to take over its project The Low Dweller, and they may have found their man. Rupert Sanders, known for his unique commercials, is currently in talks to direct the pic. Both Leonardo DiCaprio’s Applan Way and Ridley Scott’s Scott Free Productions are producing the feature, which tells the story of a man who leaves prison only to find more problems.

Applan Way helped to produce Michael Mann’s Public Enemies, currently in theaters with more than $40 million in grosses, as well as Shutter Island, to be released later this year starring DiCaprio. Scott Free Productions put together this year’s The Taking of Pelham 123, also in theaters with $58 million grossed at the domestic box office, and is producing Ridley Scott’s Robin Hood, to be released next year.

Saunders is attached to direct his first feature film, The Wild Geese, slated for release in 2010.
