Bryan Singer could be coming back to the mutant game. The director of the first two X-Men films said on Sunday that he has already discussed with Twentieth Century Fox about the possibility of a fourth installment to the X-Men franchise. Singer revealed the idea at the Pusan International Film Festival in South Korea, where he said, "I love Hugh Jackman. I love the cast."

From Fox's standpoint, a fourth X-Men film may be a no-brainer. Another Singer-helmed movie would be a return to the first two, critically lauded films, and a departure from 2006's X-Men: The Last Stand, which was directed by Brett Ratner and was a critical failure, despite the $445 million it pulled in worldwide. In fact, the world can't seem to get enough X-Men, as X-Men Origins: Wolverine earlier this year took in another $374 million worldwide despite negative reviews. So, for Fox, it seems as though they don't even need the X-Men films to be good to make money off of them, and Singer's return would easily satisfy the wide X-Men fanbase.

Singer, having just come off of last year's Valyrie, already has a docket of films in production, having signed on to direct Excalibur and Jack the Giant Killer among other projects, including another return to sci-fi with Battlestar Galactica.
