Allison Abbate, the producer on Tim Burton's Corpse Bride and the upcoming Fantastic Mr. Fox, spoke briefly on the various visual styles Burton's upcoming stop-motion Frankenweenie feature might be taking on.

When asked whether the film might be in black and white (like the 1984 Burton short film on which the project will be based) or in 3D, she replied that Burton and Disney had not ruled out either possibility. She also said that, like Corpse Bride and Fantastic Mr. Fox, the film would be shot in London (likely at Three Mills Studios). The movie will take two years to complete.

The original 29-minute "Frankenweenie" short was made in live-action and featured Shelley Duvall and Daniel Stern. It was released on VHS as a stand-alone presentation before making its way onto the recent DVD and Blu-Ray releases of The Nightmare Before Christmas. Currently, Burton is hard at work on his live-action adaptation of Alice in Wonderland starring Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter, Alan Rickman, Michael Sheen, Crispin Glover and newcomer Mia Wasikowska as Alice. Wonderland is scheduled to open on March 5, 2010.
