Will Ferrell has reportedly signed on to star in an independent comedy from Dan Rush titled Everything Must Go. The film will focus on a man who loses his job and begins to sell his possessions on his front lawn after his wife kicks him out.

The project could mark a much needed change of pace for Ferrell. Audiences simply did not respond to Land of the Lost this summer, considering that it grossed a mediocre $65 million worldwide.
Ferrell will next be seen in The Other Guys, a cop comedy that co-stars Mark Wahlberg.
