Viola Davis has reportedly signed on to appear in It's Kind of a Funny Story and Trust. Funny Story will find her playing opposite another rising star, Zach Galifianakis. As for Trust, she'll be directed by David Schwimmer.

Davis has kept busy since winning praise for her strong turn in Doubt. The actress snagged supporting roles in Tyler Perry's Madea Goes to Jail, State of Play and Law Abiding Citizen. Madea Goes to Jail represented Tyler Perry's biggest financial success, and Citizen is doing very well since opening in second place last weekend. Unfortunately, despite positive reviews State of Play turned out to be one Universal's many duds this year.
