After the success of District 9 this past summer, writer-director Neill Blomkamp has already reportedly set up his next project with Media Rights Capital. No plot details have emerged yet, but the film will be in a sci-fi vein.

District 9 has brought in an impressive $115.2 million domestically since opening in August. The ending of D9 certainly left things open for a sequel, which could find Blomkamp returning to world he created in the near future.
