'Last Song' Trailer Debuts

The combination of Miley Cyrus and a project based on a Nicholas Sparks (The Notebook) novel is bound to be a strong force at the box office.
Cyrus is coming off the success of Hannah Montana The Movie, which was able to rake in an impressive $79.5 million domestically.
The Last Song is set to hit theaters on April 2, 2010. Normally seen as a calm before the summer storm, April is shaping up to be a strong month considering that Date Night with Steve Carell and Tina Fey opens a week after Last Song.

It took me awhile to get on board with this release date. I believe Miley can hold her own in the summer when more audience dollars are available. But an april release date is better for DVD sales. Since Miley is on track to sell $60 million or more on DVD this year, that should be taken into consideration. I'm predicting this movie will make between $260-$300 million worldwide plus great DVD sales.
